Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC invites applications for a New Plant Licensing intern. This paid full-time hybrid role supports the licensing and regulatory strategy for new nuclear plant development, reporting to the New Plants Licensing Manager within Global Licensing.

Located at our Cranberry facility, the internship runs May–August 2027. Key tasks include reviewing plant inputs, evaluating licensing inputs, and honing planning and scheduling skills to meet project requirements.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, or nuclear engineering
  • Completed Sophomore year of college

About the role:

As a New Plant Licensing intern, you will directly support the help deploy advanced nuclear technology, with a focus on Advanced Plant reactor projects. You will have a unique opportunity to contribute to the licensing and regulatory strategy for new nuclear plant development, ensuring compliance with domestic and international standards.

You will report to the New Plants Licensing Manager as part of the Global Licensing department. This position is located at our Cranberry facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer, May - August 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, or nuclear engineering

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $25.40 to $29.00 per hour.
