Job summary

Satair USA, Inc. is offering a Summer Intern - Customs Operations in Herndon, VA, integrated with Airbus Finance teams. You will support essential customs documentation, liaise between warehouse operations and compliance, and contribute to process standardization during a 12-week program.

The internship provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced aerospace environment, with mentorship and opportunities to impact data integrity and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED and currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• Ability to work in the US without current or future need of visa sponsorship
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
• Interpersonal skills to interface with all levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to translate technical requirements into actionable steps
• Capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment both independently and collectively
• Dependable, self-motivated and accessible
• Able to prioritize concurrent assignments with guidance
• Strong computer background including MS Excel and Google Suite

Responsibilities

• Liaison between Warehouse Operations and Customs Compliance teams to coordinate shipments and filings.
• Assist in reviewing and organizing customs documentation including import/export declarations.
• Help document and standardize procedures to improve efficiency and reduce compliance risk.
• Facilitate rapid resolution of customs-related questions from the warehouse floor.
• Support auditing of transaction data for accuracy before submission.
