First Merchants Bank invites motivated students to join a paid 12-week summer internship in Indiana. You will work full-time across Consumer Banking, collaborating with management to support clients in everyday banking and observing banking center operations.

As an intern, you’ll assist bankers, participate in a community service project, and present key learnings to senior leadership. Eligibility includes U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree-seeking student currently enrolled Full-time at an accredited college or university.
• Available to work 40 hours per week from May to August 2027.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Demonstrated interest in the financial services industry.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Willing to travel periodically within the First Merchants footprint.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with management across Consumer Banking to support client needs in everyday banking.
• Observe frontline associates and Regional Operations Managers in daily and weekly banking center operations.
• Assist bankers in helping clients with their everyday banking needs.
• Support Banking Center Manager and leadership in executing sales processes.
• Participate in a coordinated community service project with interns.
• Present a summary of internship experience to senior leadership at program conclusion.
