Job summary

First Merchants Corporation invites college students to participate in its 12-week, paid Summer Internship Program. Interns gain hands-on experience across Credit Administration, Commercial Banking, Consumer Banking, and more, with mentorship and leadership exposure.

Interns will engage in hands-on projects, network with executives, and contribute to community service projects, while developing professional skills and industry knowledge in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Be a full-time Bachelor degree-seeking student at an accredited college or university.
• Be available to work 40 hours per week May 17–August 6, 2027.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Have demonstrated interest in the industry and/or specific area of interest.
• Possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Be able and willing to travel periodically throughout the First Merchants footprint, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operations - Observe frontline staff and Regional Operations Managers in daily and weekly activities that support banking center operations.
• Sales & Service - Assist bankers with clients' everyday banking needs.
• Sales Management - Assist management in executing First Merchants' Sales processes.
