Job summary

First Merchants Corporation is offering a 12-week paid Summer Internship Program for 2027. The Consumer Banking Intern will collaborate with management across the line of business to gain exposure and assist with functions that support meeting client needs in everyday banking.

Interns will participate in hands-on projects, networking events, and a coordinated community service project, with mentorship from experienced professionals and a final presentation to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Be a full-time Bachelor (or higher) degree-seeking student at an accredited college or university.
• Be available to work 40 hours per week May 17–August 6, 2027.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Be able and willing to travel periodically within the First Merchants footprint.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with management across the Consumer Banking line to support meeting client needs in everyday banking.
• Gain exposure to Operations, Sales & Service, and Sales Management through hands-on experiences with banking centers and leadership.
