Job summary

Baker Tilly’s Development & Community Advisory team is seeking 2027 summer interns for our Affordable Housing practice in Madison, WI. This internship offers exposure to financial advisory services for real estate clients and collaboration with senior professionals.

Interns will support analyses, assist with financing activities, and engage with nonprofit and public housing clients. A real estate or related degree is preferred, with eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Affordable Housing, Accounting, Finance, or related programs.
• Must have at least one academic term remaining following completion of the internship.
• Authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Learn and execute meaningful work engagements that have an impact on the business
• Support consulting engagements by assisting with analyses and deliverables related to clients’ strategic, financial, and operational objectives
• Assist with financing activities by preparing supporting analyses, organizing due diligence materials, and helping evaluate debt, equity, and other funding sources
• Collaborate with experienced Staff, Seniors, Managers and Principals with specialized experience and technical knowledge across numerous industries and services
• Engage directly with a variety of clients ranging from nonprofit organizations to publicly traded multi-national corporations to public housing authorities
• Learn directly from mentors and additional Baker Tilly employees through an open work environment
