Job summary

Related Midwest in Chicago is seeking a Summer Analyst to support affordable real estate acquisitions and development. You will assist with financial analysis, site acquisitions, due diligence, and community engagement for our affordable portfolio.

The program is a 10-week internship designed to train and evaluate future leaders in real estate. You will perform underwriting analyses, assist with tax credit applications, and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

Undergraduate junior with a target graduation date between December 2027-June 2028.
Strong passion for real estate development.
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; proficiency with Excel.
Demonstrates clear and concise communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Self-starter with a proactive approach to tasks and challenges.
Ability to navigate ambiguity in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Perform financial underwriting analysis and due diligence for new affordable acquisition opportunities.
Assist with tax credit applications for the City of Chicago and IHDA.
Track rehab progress on ongoing projects.
Conduct site visits and assist with asset management of existing portfolio.
Evaluate operations to identify improvement opportunities.
