Job summary

Steelcase is hiring a 2027 Summer Interior Design Intern to join our Global Design team in Grand Rapids. You’ll work on real projects from concept through execution, collaborating with experienced designers and cross-functional partners to create impactful spaces across North America and beyond.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• Enrolled and returning to school after the internship.
• Portfolio required for consideration.
• Must be able to work onsite full-time during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Develop interior design concepts that enhance customer experiences and support project goals.
• Create space plans, design studies, and specifications for furnishings, finishes, and materials.
• Build digital models, visuals, and presentations using industry-standard tools.
• Collaborate with interior designers and cross-functional partners from concept to execution.
• Support design documentation, material sourcing, prototypes, and installations.
