Job summary

Steelcase is seeking a Year-Round Interior Design Intern to join our Global Design team in Grand Rapids, MI. You'll work on real interior design projects from concept through execution, collaborating with senior designers and cross-functional partners to support Steelcase spaces across North America and beyond.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
Active enrollment through internship duration.
Portfolio required for consideration.
Onsite part-time during academic year; full-time during summer.
Authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

Develop interior design concepts that enhance customer experiences and support project goals.
Create space plans, design studies, and specifications for furnishings, finishes, and materials.
Build digital models, visualizations, and presentation materials using industry-standard tools.
Collaborate with interior designers and cross-functional partners to bring projects from concept through execution.
Support design documentation, material sourcing, prototype development, and project installations.
