Job summary

The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation is seeking a summer-season Assistant Manager to lead the high-volume ice cream parlor operation. You will supervise employees, ensure guest satisfaction, maintain product quality and sanitation, and help maximize revenue while controlling labor costs.

You will work in Medora, North Dakota, with a focus on efficient service, accurate product knowledge, and compliance with food safety standards.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily opening, operation, and closing of the ice cream parlor during peak season.
Deliver excellent customer service and promptly address guest questions.
Order, receive, and monitor ice cream, fudge ingredients, and supplies.
Prepare and serve ice cream; make fudge as needed following recipes.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all service and production areas.
Promote products and events; drive revenue through attentive service.
Monitor staffing to control labor costs while maintaining service levels.
Train and supervise seasonal staff; adjust schedules for guest volume.
Communicate needs clearly to team and management.
