Branch Builds, Inc. in Raleigh, NC invites rising sophomores to seniors to join our 2027 Summer Intern - Heavy Civil Estimator program.

You’ll gain hands-on exposure to preconstruction activities within a structured internship designed to develop key estimating skills for a career in heavy civil construction. Participants will interact with subcontractors, vendors and owners, assist in cost planning, scheduling and materials procurement, and prepare a culminating presentation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled college students pursuing Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management or related degree.
• Courteous and professional attitude when dealing with co-workers, customers and the public.
• Strong analytical and computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Travel is required. A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is mandatory.
• Passionate and determined to make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Tasked with actual responsibilities of the Preconstruction team with training and mentorship.
• Interact with subcontractors, vendors and owners.
• Participate in cost planning and scheduling, materials procurement, cost control and quality management.
• Prepare a presentation outlining their internship experience at Branch.
• Follow safety and security procedures and determine appropriate action steps.
