Job summary

Gemma Power Systems is seeking a Civ il Field Engineer Intern in Texas for a 12–15 week summer program, in-person onsite with a focus on project controls, scheduling, subcontracting, and procurement support. The candidate should be pursuing Civil or related engineering fields and be interested in power generation and large-scale construction.

Responsibilities include reviewing SOWs, coordinating with superintendents, handling ECNs, and assisting with cost estimation and field documentation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Power Engineering, or related field.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and general computer proficiency.
• Highly motivated with demonstrated initiative and work ethic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Commitment to ethics, safety, and quality.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand the Scope of Work (SOW), contract, plans, and specifications.
• Interface with Superintendents to resolve documentation discrepancies.
• Review technical changes requested by field supervisor.
• Assist with scheduling inspectors and code officials.
• Coordinate with Subcontract Administrator on major purchases.
• Prepare material requisitions and track RFIs.
