Johns Manville is seeking an Engineering Intern for their 2027 Summer Internship Program in McPherson, KS. The role offers hands-on engineering and business experience with challenging assignments focused on innovation and growth.

Interns participate in seminars, gain exposure to JM’s history and values, and may have future full-time opportunities. At completion, interns present results to senior management at the Denver headquarters.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Sophomore-year completion and enrollment in 2027 classes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering services for complex problems under direct guidance of higher‑level engineering personnel.
• Take an active part in the execution of plant projects.
• Assist senior engineers on technical service initiatives with sampling, analysis, troubleshooting, process improvement, and recommendations.
• Develop and integrate process documentation ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Provide project status and update reports as required.
