Job summary

Oatey is inviting college students to join the 2027 Summer Internship Program as Design Engineering Interns in Shakopee, MN. You’ll create CAD models and production drawings using SolidWorks and convert AutoCAD drawings as needed.

You’ll work with a diverse, collaborative team, receiving one-on-one mentorship, developmental feedback, and exposure to leadership. Strong SolidWorks and MS Office skills are preferred, with GD&T knowledge considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing college degree in engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software and basic engineering drawing.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD models of parts and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Create production drawings using SolidWorks and GD&T standards (ISO/ASME).
• Modify and/or convert AutoCAD drawings into SolidWorks files.
• Create CAD sketches for conceptual designs and communicate drawing updates to departments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on multiple tasks while delivering results.
