Job summary

Girl Scouts of Central Texas is seeking a Day Camp Assistant Manager to oversee summer day camp activities, programming, campers, and staff in coordination with the Day Camp Manager. The role emphasizes safety, quality programming, and customer service while upholding Girl Scout philosophies.

The position requires experience with youth leadership, staff supervision, and strong collaboration across volunteers and staff. Seasonal work at the Austin Kodosky Service Center.

Qualifications

• Experience as a group leader, camper, or teacher is required.
• Proven leadership ability in working with youth.
• Proven ability to supervise multiple staff and activities continuously.
• Ability to commit to the philosophy of Girl Scouting, both nationally and locally.
• Ability to interact, work, and collaborate with people of diverse backgrounds and promote inclusivity.
• Yearly GSUSA membership is required.
• Satisfactory results from a criminal background check are required.
• Fluent in Spanish and English is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all camp activities, programming, campers, and staff for summer day camp under the Day Camp Manager.
• Promotes Girl Scout program philosophies and objectives.
• Coordinate camp activities including food service, programming, scheduling, and staff management.
• Ensure health, safety, and quality of camp programming and experiences.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism; engage with volunteers and staff.
