Job summary

Girl Scouts of Central Texas seeks a Food Services Assistant to help run the camp kitchen at Bluebonnet Shores. You will assist in meal preparation, supervise staff, and uphold health standards for around 100-150 campers and adults.

The role requires 18+ years old, Texas Food Handlers certification (or ability to obtain), and residency on camp premises during summer. Seasonal employment with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age by June 6, 2027.
• Current Texas Food Handlers Certification or ability to become certified by camp start.
• Adherence to all Personnel Policies for Seasonal Camp Staff.
• Ability to work with, communicate with and teach children ages six through seventeen.
• Must reside on camp property during summer; may be required to live in units with campers.
• Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Follow the camp menu and post daily/weekly menus.
• Supervise Food Services Staff and ensure quality meals on time.
• Maintain health standards per Texas Health Department and relevant policies.
• Assist with meal planning and special cooking activities.
• Support camp life activities and ensure a positive camper experience.
