Job summary

3M's Undergraduate Business Analyst Internship in the Consumer Business Group offers a summer role with a structured 11-week program, orientation, and training in the initial week. The internship runs from late May through August, with location in Maplewood, MN and potential for other US locations.

You will work on real projects parallel to full-time staff under supportive mentorship. You’ll analyze data, tell stories with data, and present actionable recommendations to guide strategic planning

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• Completed junior year (6 semesters) by the start of the internship.
• Current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
• Completion of two of the required classes in the major, minor, or concentration.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• comfortable navigating complex data structures and applying data mining techniques.

Responsibilities

• Researching, analyzing, and identifying key data‑driven insights from internal and external data.
• Leverage data storytelling techniques to effectively communicate insights and drive informed business decisions.
• Clearly articulate insights as actionable recommendations for growth in strategic planning and operations.
