NOTICE OF VACANCY

Burgess Elementary School - TEMPORARY SUMMER CUSTODIAN, 8:30 to 3:30.

Reports to: Principal or Designee.

Essential Functions

1. Sweeps, mops, waxes, dusts, and changes light bulbs.
2. Washes windows, walls, floors, and furnishings.
3. Picks up paper and other debris, empties and cleans trash receptacles.
4. Rearranges and moves furnishings, transports, and delivers educational supplies.
5. Maintains bathroom facilities.
6. Climbs ladder to clean and change ceiling tiles.
7. Performs exterior maintenance and groundskeeping.

Ability to

1. Work outdoors.
2. Operate common and specialized cleaning equipment and tools.
3. Understand and follow written and oral instructions.
4. Use hand and small power tools for minor repairs.
5. Maintain work schedules for cleaning tasks.
6. Adhere to safety standards, especially when handling chemicals and bloodborne pathogens.
7. Maintain courteous and tactful relationships with others.
8. Lift up to 50 lbs.
9. Retain a valid license.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform essential functions satisfactorily.
• Meet the requirements listed above.

Education

• Minimum of two years of high school education.
