Egan Company invites you to join its Industrial Controls Process Engineering Team as a Controls Engineer Intern at our Champlin, MN headquarters for a 12-week summer program designed to give hands-on experience in automated control systems.

You'll work with experienced engineers on designing, programming, and testing electrical control systems, with access to mentorship, intern events, and a chance to contribute to real projects.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsabilités

• Design & Documentation: Assist in developing electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.
• PLC/HMI Programming: Support development and testing of PLC code and HMI screens (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley).
• System Testing: Participate in UL 508A panel shop testing to verify wiring and logic.
• Legacy Asset Management: Audit, organize, and archive legacy software and hardware assets.
• Code Standards Documentation: Develop programming standards, tag naming conventions, and HMI style guides.
• Project Coordination: Help maintain I/O lists and BOMs.
• Safety: Promote a positive safety culture.
• Team Collaboration: Build internal partnerships across Egan groups.
• Summer Internship Participation: Actively participate in internship program and activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
