Job summary

Harmon is seeking a Construction Project Management Intern for the summer to gain hands-on experience supporting active construction projects. You will work alongside experienced project managers, field leaders, and industry professionals to learn the construction process from planning through completion.

Requirements include pursuing a degree in construction management or related field, junior or senior standing, and a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining subcontractor files, job folders, and project documentation.
• Supporting project schedule updates and tracking project milestones.
• Developing and managing project correspondence with subcontractors, suppliers, design firms, and owner representatives.
• Reviewing project documents, including shop drawings, transmittals, bulletins, addenda, purchase orders, and change orders.
• Monitoring construction schedules and assisting with critical path schedule updates based on actual project progress.
• Supporting the processing of progress payments, change orders, and extra work orders.
• Assisting with development and tracking of project punch lists.
• Participating in project team meetings, progress meetings, and scheduling meetings.
• Recording and following up on meeting notes and action items.
• Maintaining project logs and organizing project paperwork.
• Assisting with construction inspections and reviewing construction drawings and blueprints.
