Job summary

Harmon, Inc. offers a summer Construction Project Management Internship across the United States. You will assist with a range of project activities under experienced PMs, gaining exposure from planning through completion on active construction sites.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in construction-related field.
  • Junior or Senior standing preferred; GPA 3.0+ preferred.
  • Available to work full-time during the summer internship period.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain subcontractor files, job folders, and project documentation.
  • Support project schedule updates and track milestones.
  • Develop and manage project correspondence with subcontractors, suppliers, design firms, and owner representatives.
  • Review project documents including shop drawings, transmittals, bulletins, addenda, purchase orders, and change orders.
  • Monitor construction schedules and assist with critical path schedule updates based on progress.
  • Assist with processing progress payments, change orders, and extra work orders.
  • Assist with development and tracking of project punch lists.
  • Participate in project team meetings and record notes/actions.
  • Maintain project logs and organize paperwork.
  • Assist with inspections and reviewing drawings and blueprints.

About Harmon

Harmon is seeking motivated and driven interns to join our team for the summer. As a Construction Project Management Intern, you will gain hands‑on experience supporting active construction projects while working alongside experienced project managers, field leaders, and industry professionals. This internship provides an opportunity to learn the construction process from project planning through completion while contributing to meaningful project work.

What You'll Do

As a Construction Project Management Intern, you may assist with a variety of project‑related activities, including:

  • Maintaining subcontractor files, job folders, and project documentation.
  • Supporting project schedule updates and tracking project milestones.
  • Developing and managing project correspondence with subcontractors, suppliers, design firms, and owner representatives.
  • Reviewing project documents, including shop drawings, transmittals, bulletins, addenda, purchase orders, and change orders.

  • Recording and following up on meeting notes and action items.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Junior or Senior standing preferred.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
  • Ability to work full‑time during the summer internship period.
