Job summary

The Inland Real Estate Group of Companies, Inc. seeks an ISC Due Diligence & Compliance Intern to gain hands-on exposure to corporate compliance practices, regulatory research, due diligence analytics, and audit support in a dynamic business setting.

You'll work with Compliance and National Accounts to ensure operations align with policies and laws, performing documentation, reporting, and research tasks, while developing Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field.
• Junior standing at the time of application.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week at our Oak Brook, Illinois corporate headquarters.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support Compliance and National Accounts teams by ensuring operations align with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain records of compliance reviews and due diligence activities.
• Update and organize standard operating procedures and compliance documentation.
• Prepare reports and summaries for internal stakeholders.
• Assist with internal and external audits and gather, review, and organize supporting documentation.
• Help ensure audit materials are complete and accurate.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of compliance policies.
• Conduct public record and media searches and analyze background information for actionable reports.
