Lumos & Associates, Inc. in Boise, Idaho, seeks Civil Project Designer Interns to join the Engineering Division for the 2027 Summer Internship Program. Interns will support project teams and gain hands-on experience with civil design, plan production, reports, calculations, modeling, and field activities.

This seasonal internship runs mid-May through mid-August 2027. The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and is eager to learn, with strong communication

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Full-time availability during the internship period (mid-May–mid-August 2027).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, or other engineering software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support drafting and plan production using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Assist with site analysis, civil design, utility computations, and cost opinions.
• Assist project planning and analysis using ArcGIS Pro and related tools.
• Contribute to water, wastewater, and stormwater modeling tasks.
