Job summary

Stantec is seeking Civil Engineering interns for Summer 2027 in Mequon, WI, within our Community Development Group. You’ll contribute to urban design, roadways, parks, trails, and watershed infrastructure while gaining exposure to planning and design.

Some roles may involve remote work with housing and meal per diems covered by Stantec. You will work in a collaborative team, supporting CAD drafting, reports, and construction document preparation.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s degree program in civil engineering.
• coursework in planning, design, construction, infrastructure, hydrology, environment, surveying, or construction management preferred.
• Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to civil components of various projects within a design team.
• Inspect construction sites for compliance with plans and engineering principles.
• Assist with preparation of plans, specifications, reports, and deliverables.
• Attend meetings as needed and complete detailed reports.
• Procure permits and approvals from agencies.
• Communicate with staff, clients, and stakeholders.
• Assist with CAD drafting and construction documents.
