Ardurra invites a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Meridian, ID team for the summer. You will assist with design, analysis, and documentation for a range of civil projects while gaining hands-on CAD experience and exposure to real client work.

You will work with engineers, project managers, and other professionals, receiving mentorship and opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of fundamental engineering principles and standard procedures.
• Skilled in organizing data, preparing reports, and applying basic technical understanding.
• Ability to learn engineering processes and collaborate with project teams under supervision.
• Strong communication and accountability for quality outcomes.
• Familiarity with change management and prioritization in dynamic environments.
• Active listening, persuasive communication, and proactive planning.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and analysis of civil projects, including roadways and site development.
• Utilize CAD software to create plan sheets, details, and figures.
• Prepare technical specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
• Perform material take-offs and gather budgetary pricing.
• Review drawings and conduct quality checks.
• Conduct field inspections and collect project data.
• Document data to support design and decision-making.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, architects, contractors, and agencies.
• Participate in project meetings and support problem-solving discussions.
• Support project documentation, permitting packages and memoranda.
