Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Exposure to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or GIS applications is a plus
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and work ethic
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Team-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work with a team of professionals and independently
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Bluebeam and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and analysis of civil engineering projects (roadways, drainage, utilities, site development)
• Use CAD software to create plan sheets, details, and figures
• Prepare technical specifications, reports, and cost estimates
• Perform material take-offs and gather budgetary pricing from vendors
• Review drawings and conduct quality checks
• Conduct field inspections and collect project data
• Document data to support design decisions
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, architects, contractors, and public agencies
• Participate in project meetings and support problem-solving discussions
• Assist with project documentation and permitting packages
• Provide miscellaneous support to project teams
• Mentorship from experienced engineers and project managers
