Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking Intern Engineers for Summer 2027 in Arlington, VA, Washington, DC, and Baltimore, MD across Water Resources, Roadway, Structures, Transportation Planning, ITS, Tolling and Construction Management. You will assist engineering teams, support research and design, and help prepare drawings and documents.

Relocation and housing are not provided. Applicants should be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary engineering program; a high school diploma plus current enrollment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
• Basic understanding of engineering, geometry, and algebra.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to follow directions from peers and supervisors.
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations.
• Ability to organize information for drawings or documents.

Responsibilities

• Assists engineer teams in various tasks and duties.
• Assists Engineer with research, development and design of projects.
• Assists Engineer with the preparation of engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
