Job summary

Branch is offering a Summer Internship in Boone, NC for rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors pursuing degrees in Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management or related fields. The program emphasizes structured learning with practical experience in preconstruction, project management and field supervision.

Interns will interact with subcontractors, vendors and owners, assist in cost planning and scheduling, and contribute to materials

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in college pursuing Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or Construction Management or related degree.
Courteous and professional attitude when dealing with co-workers, customers and the public.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Travel is required; a valid driver’s license with a good driving record is mandatory.

Responsibilities

Support Preconstruction, Project Management and Field Supervision teams with training and mentoring.
Interact with subcontractors, vendors and owners.
Assist in cost planning, scheduling, materials procurement, cost control and quality management.
Prepare a presentation outlining their internship experience at Branch at program end.
Follow safety and security procedures and determine appropriate action steps.
