Job summary

YMCA Camp Cosby is seeking an Assistant Program Director to lead the summer resident camp and support year-round operations. You will work with the Senior Program Director and Program Director to ensure safe, high‑quality programs and a positive staff culture that attracts return summers.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in recreation or related field and at least 2 years of programming and supervisory experience in camping, plus strong communication with families and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation or related field.
• At least 2 years of programming and supervisory experience in camping or a related field.
• A passion for youth development and building great teams.
• Strong communication skills and comfort with families, staff, and partners.
• Organization and initiative with the ability to juggle a busy season.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office, CRM databases, and social media.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification or willingness to get certified.
• Willingness to complete lifeguard and ropes course training.
• Ability to live onsite and work outdoors on uneven terrain in all kinds of weather, and lift up to 50 pounds.
