Job Details

• Title: Summer Camp Educator
• Status: Full-Time, Seasonal (Average 40 hours/week)
• Reports To: Education Program Manager
• Location: Boulder, CO
• Pay: $770/week; training weeks prorated
• Bonus: $150 upon successful season completion
• Training: Online (before May 27, $100 stipend) and in-person (May 23 & 27-30, $693 stipend)
• Camp Schedule: Weekly June 2 - August 8, except week of June 30 - July 4 (2 days of work, $154/day)

Summer Camp Description

Our camps inspire environmental stewardship through hands-on gardening, food connection, and themed activities. Educators rotate between camps, engaging children with lessons, crafts, games, and cooking.

Responsibilities

• Lead garden-based education, activities, and snacks
• Co-lead camp from 8:30 am-3:30 pm during nine weeks
• Prepare and clean up daily activities
• Build positive relationships with campers, parents, and staff
• Document programming; work outdoors in all weather

Qualifications

• At least 460 hours working with children aged 4-18 in groups of four or more
• Experience in outdoor or environmental education
• Responsibility, organization, and relationship skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and outdoor enthusiasm
• Background check required
