The Spina Bifida Association of Western PA (SBAWP) hosts a residential summer camp and weekend retreats for individuals with spina bifida and related disabilities. They are divided into two groups: Youth/Teen ages 6-21 and Adults 21 and up. FireFly Summer Camp will run from June 24, 2025, through July 11, 2025, at Camp Guyasuta in Sharpsburg, PA. Weekend Retreats are held over 8 weekends throughout the year.
No previous experience is necessary to apply. We will provide training for the skills necessary for the job. We encourage anyone with experience working with children and adults with disabilities and who loves the outdoors to apply. Camp activities include rock wall climbing, zip lining, swimming, boating, sports, arts, archery, a trip to Kennywood, and more.
We seek a diverse staff who can serve as positive role models for our campers. Ideal candidates are outgoing, energetic, friendly, and reliable. Competitive pay, room & board included. The base salary can increase based on age, education, responsibilities, skills, and experience.
