Under the direct supervision of the Camp Coordinator, Camp Counselors are responsible for the safety, development, growth, and skill achievement of campers within their assigned group at LAP summer camp. Due to the curriculum and activities' intensity, we seek highly motivated individuals with experience who can work well with youth and adult team members. The commitment includes 6 weeks of camp (June 23 - August 1) plus pre- and post-camp hours (orientation, training, debriefing). All camp staff are supervised by the Camp Coordinator and must demonstrate experience or a genuine desire to work with youth, strong communication skills, leadership, a positive attitude, flexibility, humor, energy, and stamina. We prefer individuals who enjoy outdoor work and can handle physically demanding days.
