The Greenwich Audubon Center opened in 1943 as the National Audubon Society’s first environmental education center in the United States. The 285-acre sanctuary has approximately seven miles of trails that lead to a hardwood forest, old fields, a lake, streams, and vernal ponds.
The Greenwich Audubon Center offers a summer day camp for children ages 5 to 10. The camp runs for seven weeks, during which campers explore meadows, ponds, and forests. Camp counselors work with the Camp Director and Education Specialists to develop lesson plans, conduct daily hikes, and lead activities, maintaining a safe, engaging, and educational environment for groups of up to 14 children.
This position begins on June 30, 2025, including a staff training week from June 30 to July 3. The Summer Nature Day Camp runs from July 7 to August 22. Work hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, with a weekly staff meeting on Tuesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (schedule may vary).
Compensation: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
