Steve & Kate's Camps in Dallas (5707 Royal Ln, Dallas, TX 75229) seeks staff for the 2026 camp season. Hourly wages range from $15.50 to $18.00; dates run 5/26/2026–7/31/2026 with setup, breakdown, and orientation weekends.

Staff facilitate activities, supervise campers, and ensure safety. Roles include space supervision, rotating support, and leading activities like sewing, stop-motion, maker space, and arts. Ideal candidates are energetic, team-oriented, and ready to play and teach.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age
• Minimum of 2 months experience working with camp-age children, with 1 year preferred, in either a professional, personal or volunteer setting.
• First Aid & CPR certified prior to Day 1 of Camp (some locations may require additional certifications)

• You may be asked to chaperone campers on an off-site Field Trip where locations demand.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate activities, make connections, and monitor safety and wellness.
• Some staff will create/oversee activity spaces where campers self-select activities.
• Other staff will work in rotating support roles throughout camp.
• Activities include sewing, stop-motion animation, maker space, performing arts, arts and crafts, lounging, recreation, and more.
• Actively supervising campers
• Maintaining an organized and approachable activity space
• Ensure compliance with Camp Policies
• Reporting & Recording details of notable concerns or incidents, and of injuries to campers, other staff members, or self
• Keeping track and being aware of camper allergies and dietary restrictions
• Adding daily updates and photos to campers' profiles
