Job summary

In The Zone Child Care Services is seeking a dependable Summer Camp Bus Driver to transport children to field trips and activities throughout the summer. The role requires safe operation of school buses, pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ongoing supervision of children during transport.

Qualified candidates must hold a valid CDL with Air Brake Certification and a minimum of 2 years of driving experience, with clean driving and background records.

Qualifications

• CDL with Air Brake Certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
• No accident reports within the last 5 years.
• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 36 months.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to pass MSDH Background Check.
• CPR/First Aid knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport children and staff according to scheduled routes and field trips.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip bus inspections.
• Ensure the safety and supervision of children during transportation.
• Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Monitor weather and traffic conditions to maintain safe travel.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bus.
• Assist children during loading, unloading, and emergency situations if needed.
• Communicate professionally with staff, parents, and supervisors.
