Job summary

A summer camp organization is hiring coaches for youth baseball and softball camps. Responsibilities include ensuring a safe environment, executing curriculum, and motivating campers aged 4-13. Ideal candidates have experience working with children, strong leadership skills, and a passion for the game. Pay ranges from $17.25 to $23 per hour based on experience. A commitment of 3-5 weeks, reliable transportation, and passing a background check are required. Camp runs from June 15 to August 21, 2026.

Qualifications

• Be prepared for a minimum 3-5 week commitment for approximately eight hours per day.
• Be prepared to travel to each site with reliable transportation.
• Be able to pass a comprehensive background screening.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe camp environment for all campers.
• Manage and motivate campers to have fun.
• Execute daily curriculum under the Site Director's direction.
• Provide feedback during drills and games.
• Highlight teachable moments for campers.
• Work with other team members to uphold the camp's reputation.

Skills

Experience working with children ages 4-13

Coaching and/or playing baseball/softball at a high school level or higher

Passion for teaching and providing leadership
