Job summary

FBL Financial Group in West Des Moines, IA is seeking an Audit Services Intern for Summer 2027 through Spring 2028. You will participate in process walkthroughs to evaluate financial statement risks and controls, and assist with documentation and control testing.

Qualifications

• Must be a current student (junior/senior) with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Must be able to work in-person from our office in West Des Moines, IA.
• Should be majoring in Accounting, Finance or Management Information Systems.
• Should be at an intermediate level of accounting, finance, or audit coursework.
• Must be available to work 38.75 hours/week during the summer and 10-20 hours/week during the school year.

Responsibilities

• Participate in process walkthroughs to evaluate financial statement risks/ controls.
• Document walkthroughs and support staff in the completion of control testing.
• Assist with time reporting and other administrative functions.
• Engage in corporate activities to learn about our culture, organization, and industry.
