Job summary

UHY LLP is seeking a 2027 Summer CAS Intern in West Des Moines. The role offers hands-on experience in client accounting advisory services, with exposure to financial reporting, client interactions, and collaboration with senior accountants.

You will assist in reconciling accounts, input data, and help prepare financial statements while participating in training sessions to expand accounting knowledge. This temporary internship aims to develop practical skills in a professional setting.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of relevant experience.
• Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• High School Diploma or GED or High School equivalent certificate.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconciling financial accounts with accuracy and compliance to accounting standards.
• Work with accounting software to input and verify financial data.
• Support the preparation of financial statements, income statements and balance sheets.
• Collaborate with senior accountants to analyze financial data and provide insights.
• Participate in client meetings to gather financial information and understand client needs.
• Help address client inquiries and provide basic accounting assistance.
• Assist in collecting and organizing financial data for analysis and reporting purposes.
• Contribute to basic data analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.
• Maintain organized documentation related to accounting activities per firm standards.
