Job summary

Virginia Beach City Public Schools invites qualified college students to join the Internal Audit team as Audit Intern for Summer 2027. These temporary, part-time positions run from early June 2027 through mid-August 2027 and involve assisting in School Activity Fund Audits and other audits as necessary.

Applicants should be rising sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate students majoring in business (prefer accounting) with a 2.0 GPA minimum overall and 2.5 in their major.

Qualifications

• GPA: 2.0 minimum overall; 2.5 GPA in major.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
• Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Excel and Word; interview may include a skills demonstration.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting School Activity Fund Audits and other audits as needed.
• Support audit processes and documentation; travel within the city may be required.
