KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Summer position
• Must be at least 16 years old
• Part-time or Full-time available (10-40 hrs/wk)

The Grace Beginnings Assistant Teacher will support the Grace Beginnings Director and classroom teacher with the needs of the classroom.

• Support educational experiences in infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms as directed by the classroom teacher, demonstrating understanding of curriculum and faith development goals.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with the Director and classroom teacher.
• Follow the directives of the classroom teacher to maintain high standards and provide a safe environment for children.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized classroom and assume responsibilities to keep the facility orderly.
• Treat each child and family with dignity and respect.
• Organize books, toys, crafts, and other classroom items as time allows.
• Address behavioral issues with children using Christian love, respect, and patience.
• Exhibit Christian values to foster goodwill among management, staff, clients, community, and others involved with Grace Beginnings.
• Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
