Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking Summer 2027 Arborist Trainee interns in Omaha, NE. This full-time seasonal role offers hands-on experience in tree care, plant health care, sales, and client services.

Starting date is Summer 2027 with a pay rate of $22.00 per hour and a path to learn climbing and field skills. Ideal candidates enjoy the outdoors, have a forestry-related background, and are willing to complete required safety and pesticide-related trainings upon hire.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping.
• Ability to complete Davey Tree Orientation Program and First Aid/CPR upon hire.
• Preferred: pesticide licenses/certificates as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Learn to climb trees and work as part of a tree crew.
• Assist in pruning and removal services safely and skillfully.
• Learn to install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws and chippers.
• Grow skills and experience based on performance.
