The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a climbing arborist trainee for the North Fort Collins area. This Summer 2027 internship offers hands-on experience in tree care, plant health, sales and client services, with on-site work and a starting pay of $22.00 per hour.

Flexible start in Summer 2027; temporary, full-time position designed for college students on summer break. Rate of pay is $22.00 hourly, with all job-specific equipment and safety gear provided. On-site work in Fort Collins, CO.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors and safety-conscious attitude.
• Forestry, horticulture, landscaping background preferred.
• Must complete Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program on hire.
• Must complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course on hire.
• Pesticide licenses/certificates preferred per state law.

Responsabilités

• Learn to climb trees and work as part of a tree crew.
• Learn pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.
• Learn installation of cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.
• Assist in removal of hazardous trees and proper tool/equipment use.
• Grow skills and responsibilities as performance allows.
