Walleye Capital is seeking Special Projects Developer Interns for Summer 2027 in New York, NY. You will collaborate with senior leadership to translate business needs into practical AI-native tools, custom agents, and reporting solutions, delivering meaningful hands-on development and mentorship during a 10‑week NYC internship.

You should be pursuing an undergraduate or non‑MBA master's in CS/engineering, show strong Python and problem-solving skills, and have interest in finance and tech

Formación

• Pursuing an undergraduate or non-MBA master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Showcase excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, ability to collaborate with technical and non‑technical audiences, intellectual curiosity, and comfort with ambiguity.
• Proactive self‑starter with leadership ability, ownership mindset, and initiative to move projects forward independently.
• Strong foundation in programming (Python) and familiarity with SQL and/or NoSQL databases; API development is a plus.
• Experience integrating AI services, including LLMs or APIs, into academic, research, internship, or personal projects.
• Genuine interest in hedge fund industry and prior internship/research/project experience in financial services or fast‑paced environments.

Responsabilidades

• Translate high-level strategic objectives into structured project plans and executable workflows.
• Contribute to greenfield projects across the development lifecycle: research, scoping, prototyping, testing, and implementation.
• Build and enhance internal AI-native tools, user-facing applications, automations, and processes.
• Act as an internal technology consultant/liaison to teams to understand business needs and advance cross-functional initiatives.
• Contribute to executive-facing technology solutions.
