Job summary

Verition is seeking a Summer Intern to join our Fundamental Long/Short Equity business as an AI Equity Associate during a 10-week Summer Internship Program in Miami. You will work directly with the Equity COO on the firm's AI priorities, helping portfolio management teams apply AI across equity research, portfolio construction and risk management.

The role is for someone with real experience in equity research or investing who is also a hands-on user of AI tools, capable of identifying where AI

Qualifications

At least 1-2 years of full-time work in finance, preferably in equity research, investment banking, private equity or a closely related field.
Strong interest in finance and equity research, particularly equity markets.
Strong, hands‑on ability with leading AI assistants and agentic tools (for example Claude and OpenAI), including MCP servers and data connections.
Working understanding of the equity research process, valuation methodologies, risk analysis and fundamental research.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work with PMs and analysts.
Resourceful and self‑directed: comfortable with ambiguity, persistent when things do not work the first time, and focused on getting to a working result.

Responsibilities

Build and refine AI workflows, including prompts, skills, data connections and lightweight automations.
Develop and promote AI best practices across the Equity teams through solutions, documentation, examples and training material.
Gather feedback from PMs and analysts and turn it into clear requirements and improvements for the central teams.
Communicate progress and results clearly to PMs and senior stakeholders.
