Job summary

Verition is offering a Summer Internship for an AI Equity Associate within its Fundamental Long/Short Equity business in New York. You will work with the Equity COO to advance AI priorities across equity research, portfolio construction, and risk management, gaining hands-on experience with AI tools and portfolio teams.

You will ramp on internal AI tools, contribute to central AI enablement projects, and be embedded in one or two PM teams on defined AI-driven projects.

Qualifications

• At least 1-2 years of full-time work experience in finance, preferably equity research, investment banking, private equity or closely related field.
• Strong interest in finance and equity research, particularly equity markets.
• Hands-on ability with leading AI assistants and agentic tools (Claude and OpenAI), including MCP servers and data connections.

Responsibilities

• Build and refine AI workflows, including prompts, skills, data connections and lightweight automations.
• Develop and promote AI best practices across the Equity teams through solutions, documentation, examples and training material.
• Gather feedback from PMs and analysts and turn it into clear requirements and improvements for central teams.
• Communicate progress and results clearly to PMs and senior stakeholders.
