Job summary

Verition is seeking a Summer Intern to join its Fundamental Long/Short Equity business as an AI Equity Associate for a 10-week program. You will work directly with the Equity COO on AI priorities, helping PMs and analysts apply AI across equity research, portfolio construction and risk management.

During the internship you will ramp on internal AI tools, contribute to AI enablement projects, and learn the platform.

Qualifications

1–2 years of full-time work experience in finance, preferably in equity research, investment banking, private equity or a closely related field.
Strong interest in finance and equity research, particularly equity markets.
Strong, hands-on ability with leading AI assistants and agentic tools (e.g. Claude and OpenAI), including MCP servers and data connections.
Working understanding of the equity research process, valuation methodologies, risk analysis and fundamental research.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work with PMs and analysts.
Resourceful and self-directed: comfortable with ambiguity and persistent when things do not work the first time.

Responsibilities

Build and refine AI workflows, including prompts, skills, data connections and lightweight automations.
Develop and promote AI best practices across the Equity teams through solutions, documentation, examples and training material.
Gather feedback from PMs and analysts and turn it into clear requirements and improvements for the central teams.
Communicate progress and results clearly to PMs and senior stakeholders.
