Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is offering a Summer 2027 AI/ML Associate Internship in Sterling, VA. The part-time, 10-week program invites enrollees from CS/IT/engineering disciplines to work on AI/ML projects and collaborate with a cross-functional team.

Interns will gain exposure to data transformation, model selection, deployment, and statistical methods while receiving mentoring and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an associate's, bachelor's or master's degree program in CS/IT/engineering or STEM in a US-based college.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, Teams).
• Strong problem solving and interest in big data and analytics.
• Interest or experience with big data platforms and data transformation.
• Knowledge of statistical techniques and Python or other languages.
• Able to work in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Work side-by-side with GDIT professionals delivering work for clients.
• Collaborate with peers to research and propose solutions to business challenges.
• Participate in mentoring circles and interact with GDIT leaders.
• Engage in professional development activities during the internship.
