Job summary

GM Financial is seeking a Data Engineer Intern to support data and software development by debugging code, improving performance, and solving technical problems. You will collaborate with teammates to develop solutions and contribute to reliable data systems.

The role includes code reviews, learning new technologies, and maintaining documentation. This 11-week internship offers networking, independent and team projects, and a hybrid work setup with 2 days in office per week.

Qualifications

• Must be a current student pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher with at least one semester remaining.
• Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA required.
• Junior or Senior year preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Debugging code to fix errors and improve performance.
• Collaborate with team to design and implement data solutions.
• Participate in peer code reviews to improve code quality.
• Learn and apply new technologies in AI-enabled environments.
• Document project work and maintain up-to-date knowledge of releases.
