Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Summer Intern to contribute to aerodynamic development within GM Motorsports. You may work on CFD, testing, automation, data processing, ML or AI for engineering.

Join a high-performance team spanning Cadillac Formula 1, Chevrolet NASCAR, INDYCAR and IMSA programs, focusing on aerodynamics, simulation and data science. Qualifications

• Pursuing graduate degree in physics, math, aerospace or related field.
• Graduating after Sept 2027 or later.
• Full-time summer availability (40 hours/week).
• Experience with CFD surrogate or data-driven models for prediction.
• Strong foundation in aerodynamics, CFD, mechanical design, or related areas.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to CFD workflow development across prep, meshing, solving, and reporting.
• Develop tools for wind-tunnel planning, data acquisition, and processing.
• Create and validate ML/surrogate models for aerodynamic prediction.
• Develop AI-enabled tools to boost engineering productivity and analysis.
• Collaborate with engineers to define needs, document methods, and present results.
