Job summary

Accident Fund Insurance is offering an internship in Underwriting/Business Development from May 24, 2027 to August 6, 2027. Interns collaborate with professionals across insurance operations, analysts, and staff to support business objectives and gain exposure to agents and policyholders.

Ideal candidates are enrolled sophomores to seniors or pursuing a relevant graduate program with a 3.0+ GPA, available to work full-time during summer, and able to begin between late May and mid-June.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent working knowledge of computers and company standard software; Internet research experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to proofread documents for spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
• Ability to perform necessary mathematical computations.
• Ability to exchange information clearly and concisely and to present ideas, report facts and other information.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties related to Business Development, Underwriting, Data Analysis, Loss Control, and General Business.
• Prepares and delivers presentations on assigned topics.
• Attends unit, departmental, and corporate meetings as assigned.
• Responds to internal and external customer inquiries.
• Manages multiple deadlines and completes miscellaneous assignments as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality while using company software.
